A leading UK wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join its growing Wealth Planning division.
Following a series of recent acquisitions and significant growth in assets under management, the firm is continuing to expand its financial planning capability and is looking to strengthen its Glasgow-based team with an experienced paraplanner who can support advisers in delivering high-quality, holistic financial planning advice to clients.
The Role
Working closely with Senior Wealth Planners, you will provide high-level technical support across a broad range of financial planning areas including pensions, investments, protection and tax planning. You will play a key role in researching solutions, preparing suitability reports, and supporting advisers in delivering tailored advice aligned with clients’ objectives.
This is a highly collaborative role within an established paraplanning function and offers the opportunity to work on complex financial planning cases within a well-resourced and professional environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed research across financial planning products and strategies
- Preparing clear, client-focused suitability reports and technical documentation
- Supporting advisers with cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis
- Assisting in the development of financial planning strategies to meet client objectives
- Acting as a technical reference point within the team
- Mentoring and supporting junior paraplanners and contributing to team development
- Ensuring all work adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements
About You
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and proven experience providing paraplanning support within a financial planning or wealth management environment.
You will likely have:
- RQF Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting advisers across investments, pensions, and protection
- Strong suitability report writing and technical research experience
- Experience with cashflow modelling tools
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- A collaborative approach and interest in supporting junior colleagues
Candidates working towards Chartered Financial Planner status would be particularly well suited to this role.

- £55,000 - £62,000 base salary
