Financial Planning Administrator
Worcester | Up to £35,000, negotiable depending on experience
Full-time or part-time considered
MBF are working with a newly established independent Financial Planning business in Worcester to recruit an experienced IFA Administrator.
Founded by a well-connected Financial Planner with a successful track record, the business has clients representing around £10 million in assets ready to come on board and expects to add three to four clients each month over the next year.
This is an opportunity to join from the outset, work directly with the Director and play an important role in establishing the business as it grows.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of the day-to-day administration supporting the advice process, helping provide an efficient and personal service to clients.
As an early member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, establish working processes and build strong relationships with clients and providers.
Previous IFA administration experience is essential, as you will need to organise your workload and work independently. The business shares offices with an established IFA firm, so experienced support will be close at hand where needed.
All research and suitability report writing is handled by the network, which provides excellent turnaround times. There is no requirement to undertake paraplanning, although an understanding of what goes into a suitability report and how to prepare a complete case would be helpful.
Your responsibilities
• Preparing documentation for initial appointments and annual review meetings
• Maintaining accurate client records and updating fact finds on Intelliflo
• Managing Letters of Authority and obtaining information from providers
• Preparing complete cases for submission to the network’s paraplanning team
• Processing applications and following business through to completion
• Completing identification checks and maintaining compliant client files
• Managing post-meeting actions and outstanding requirements
• Liaising with clients, providers and the network
• Helping establish efficient administrative processes as the business develops
About you
You will have experience working within an IFA or Financial Planning business, with a good understanding of pensions and investment administration.
You should be comfortable taking responsibility for your workload, anticipating what is needed and keeping cases moving without close supervision. Accuracy, clear communication and a proactive approach will be important.
Experience with Intelliflo would be advantageous, as would familiarity with platforms such as Fidelity, Quilter and Parmenion. Paraplanning experience is not required.
What’s on offer
• Salary up to £35,000 as an initial guide, with remuneration negotiable depending on experience
• Full-time or part-time hours considered
• The opportunity to join a business from its inception and help shape its development
• A close working relationship with an experienced Financial Planner
• Dedicated network support for all research and report writing
• Support nearby from an established IFA business sharing the offices
• Scope for greater flexibility as the business grows
The preference is for someone mainly office-based in Worcester initially, helping establish working processes and relationships. Hybrid arrangements can be discussed, with opportunities for more flexibility over time.
