Financial Planning Administrator – Preston
Salary around £35,000 | Flexible working options open to discussion
An opportunity for an experienced Financial Planning Administrator to join a well-established, family-run Independent Financial Advice firm in Preston.
Established for over 30 years, the business manages approximately £150 million on behalf of a predominantly High Net Worth client base. By maintaining a relatively small number of client relationships, the team can provide a personal service and dedicate time to delivering high-quality advice and support.
The firm currently has four staff, including two Chartered Financial Planners. You’ll work closely with the advisers and owners in a friendly, supportive office where your contribution will be recognised and valued.
Staff turnover is very low, reflecting how well people are treated and the working environment the owners have built.
The role
This is a varied administration role with some involvement in basic paraplanning and report writing. It would suit someone who enjoys managing the client administration process, building relationships and putting their technical knowledge into practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Preparing and submitting pension, investment and protection applications through provider platforms.
-
Supporting the preparation of suitability letters and client reports.
-
Obtaining valuations, policy information and documentation from providers.
-
Preparing review packs and supporting documentation ahead of adviser meetings.
-
Responding to client queries and keeping clients informed throughout the process.
-
Maintaining accurate records on Intelliflo Office and ensuring client files meet compliance requirements.
-
Supporting diary management and the wider day-to-day administration of the business.
About you
You’ll have at least two to three years’ experience within an IFA or Financial Planning firm, with a good understanding of pensions, investments and protection products.
Some practical exposure to suitability reports or basic paraplanning is required. Ideally, you will hold the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, although candidates actively working towards completion will also be considered.
You’ll be organised, accurate and comfortable speaking with clients, with a proactive approach and a willingness to support colleagues within a small team.
