Job details.

Financial Adviser / Associate Adviser
Blackheath, SE London
£35,000 - £45,000 Basic DOE + Bonus
OTE c.£80,000 - £100,000 for experienced advisers
Employed or Self-Employed options available

An established, community-focused financial planning firm in Blackheath is looking to appoint a new Adviser as part of its continued growth.

Founded in 2012, the firm has grown steadily through referrals and long-term client relationships and now manages approximately £115m AUM. With a team of around 15 staff and the backing of Quilter as an Appointed Representative, they combine the stability and infrastructure of a larger organisation with the culture and personal approach of a boutique practice.

This is not a heavily sales-driven environment. The emphasis is on delivering thoughtful, long-term financial advice and building trusted relationships with clients rather than aggressive business development or chasing production targets.

The Opportunity

The firm is open-minded regarding experience level and would consider either:

• An existing Diploma-qualified Financial Adviser
• A Paraplanner / Associate Adviser looking to step properly into advice

The majority of business is internally generated or referral-based, meaning there is no expectation to build a client bank from scratch.

The role will involve:
• Providing holistic financial planning advice to existing and new clients
• Managing and developing long-term client relationships
• Conducting client meetings and ongoing reviews
• Working closely with experienced advisers and support staff
• Delivering high-quality, client-focused advice across pensions, investments and retirement planning

What They’re Looking For

• Level 4 Diploma qualified or close to completion
• Experience within financial planning / wealth management
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• A client-focused mindset and genuine interest in helping people
• Someone who values quality advice and long-term relationships over purely sales-driven environments

Salary & Benefits

• £35,000 - £45,000 basic salary depending on experience
• Experienced advisers can realistically achieve OTE c.£80,000 - £100,000
• Bonus structure in place
• Employed or self-employed options available
• Supportive and collaborative office environment
• Some flexibility for hybrid working once established

Location

The firm is based in Blackheath, SE3. Due to the collaborative nature of the business, candidates will ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance (areas such as Bromley, Dartford, Sevenoaks, Southwark and surrounding locations).

This opportunity would particularly suit somebody looking to build a long-term career within a genuinely relationship-led financial planning firm where client outcomes and quality advice are prioritised above aggressive sales culture.
