Senior Paraplanner | Liverpool
Up to £50,000 + discretionary annual bonus + excellent benefits
Hybrid working: three days per week in the office

The clients you work with and the complexity of their financial affairs can make a real difference to your development as a Paraplanner.

We’re recruiting for one of the UK’s most established and respected wealth management firms. Its reputation attracts HNW and UHNW individuals and families, providing exposure to complex financial planning that can broaden your experience and strengthen your long-term career prospects.

For an experienced Paraplanner looking to step up, this is an opportunity to join a prestigious organisation, learn from accomplished colleagues and develop your expertise through the work you take on.

The opportunity

Working closely with Wealth Planners and Investment Managers, you’ll contribute to planning discussions and take ownership of complex technical cases across pensions, retirement planning, investments, taxation, trusts and estate planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing complex client circumstances and researching suitable planning strategies.

  • Preparing clear, personalised suitability reports.

  • Using cashflow modelling to explore scenarios and support client decisions.

  • Helping align financial plans with clients’ investment strategies.

  • Providing technical guidance, supporting peer reviews and mentoring colleagues.

  • Contributing to improvements in processes, guidance and advice quality.

You’ll have the autonomy to apply your judgement, contribute ideas and become a trusted technical reference point within the team.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys technical work and wants to continue developing. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Four or more years’ experience in paraplanning or technical financial planning support.

  • The Level 4 Diploma and progress towards the Advanced Diploma, typically including at least three AF units or equivalent advanced study.

  • Strong experience of suitability report writing, research and cashflow modelling.

  • The confidence to contribute to planning discussions and challenge constructively.

  • Experience of Xplan and Voyant.

  • An interest in supporting and developing colleagues.

What’s on offer

  • Basic salary up to £50,000, potentially slightly flexible for the right person.

  • Discretionary annual bonus, which has typically been generous.

  • Hybrid working, normally three days per week in the Liverpool office.

  • A 9% non-contributory pension, increasing to a 10% employer contribution if you contribute 5%.

  • Private medical insurance, with family cover after one year.

  • Life assurance of eight times salary and income protection.

  • Study funding and study days.

  • Company share scheme and the option to purchase additional holiday.

If you require greater flexibility around office attendance, we’d still welcome a conversation. Individual circumstances can be explored, although alternative arrangements cannot be guaranteed.
