Good advisers don’t follow a job title. They follow someone they trust.
Private Client Regional Manager | Norwich
£135,000 base salary + team performance bonus + benefits
Three days per week in the Norwich office
An experienced adviser knows how to look after clients, build relationships and run a successful book.
Leading a team of around 30 of them takes something different.
You need to understand what matters to each person. Know when to listen, when to challenge and when to make a decision. Earn enough trust that people will come with you when things need to change.
That is the opportunity here.
A strong team. A substantial client book. Plenty to bring together.
We’re supporting a growing wealth management group to appoint a regional leader for its Wealth Planning business.
Several firms have joined the group through acquisition, bringing experienced advisers, established client relationships and their own ways of working.
There is considerable strength within the region. Your role will be to help that strength translate into a more connected team, with clear expectations, consistent standards and a shared direction.
That means spending time with people. Understanding what works. Explaining the reasons behind change and following through on what has been agreed.
Some conversations will be straightforward. Others will need confidence, patience and a willingness to challenge experienced, commercially successful people.
You’ll have responsibility for:
-
Leading approximately 30 Financial Planners and Advisers across the region.
-
Building relationships with established advisers, including people who have joined through acquired businesses.
-
Coaching performance and creating clear accountability.
-
Bringing teams together around shared processes, standards and ways of working.
-
Supporting acquisition integration and further regional growth.
-
Working with senior stakeholders to turn business priorities into practical action.
The experience that matters
You may currently be a Regional Director, Sales Manager, Head of Advice or Wealth Planning leader.
You could also be leading an established advice team within a smaller business and be ready for a broader remit.
Your title matters less than your track record.
We’re looking for someone who has led experienced advisers, improved team performance and helped people work through change. Experience with acquisitions, founders or former business owners would be particularly useful.
You’ll understand the commercial and regulatory responsibilities of a financial planning business. Just as importantly, you’ll know how to build credibility with people who already know their own business well.
This is a dedicated leadership and business management position. Personal advice production is not the focus.
The package and location
-
£135,000 base salary.
-
Potentially substantial bonus linked to team performance.
-
Benefits package.
-
Three days per week in the Norwich office.
You must already live within a realistic commuting distance of Norwich. Relocation and predominantly remote arrangements are not being considered.
For someone who enjoys bringing good people together and helping them achieve more, there is a significant opportunity here.
