Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to manage standard and complex reinsurance claims. The role involves proactive claims handling from initial notification to settlement, ensuring excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjust standard and complex claims within authority limits.
  • Monitor potential claims and major loss events.
  • Ensure financial provisions are adequate and in line with reserving philosophy.
  • Track portfolio performance and provide insights for underwriters and management.
  • Maintain effective diary management for claim resolution.
  • Deliver outstanding claims service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior adjusters and assist in their development.
  • Conduct audits and implement process improvements.
  • Report concerns to Claims Manager and Head of Reinsurance.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in handling reinsurance claims, ideally in a lead role.
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory issues.
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with high standards and a passion for excellence.
  • Ability to lead and influence market participants.
