Job details.

Our client is one of the UK's leading financial planning and wealth management organisations, with a strong national presence and an excellent reputation within the industry. As an award-winning business, they are known for the quality of their financial advice, their commitment to clients and the high standards they maintain across the business.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, market-leading organisation that values its people and offers genuine opportunities to develop and progress.

The Role

The business is looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join its team in Exeter, working alongside a successful group of Financial Planners and a small, friendly team of technical paraplanners.

This is a great opportunity for someone with existing paraplanning experience who wants to build on their skills, gain exposure to a variety of cases and work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive team.

Your role will involve preparing suitability reports, carrying out product and investment research, and supporting Financial Planners with the technical side of the advice process. You'll help ensure recommendations are well researched, reports are accurate and all documentation meets the required compliance standards.

You'll work closely with the Financial Planners and other paraplanners, playing an important part in the day-to-day running of the team and helping to deliver a good service to clients.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll have at least two years' experience in a paraplanning role within a financial planning or wealth management business, with a good understanding of suitability reports, research and the technical aspects of financial advice.

You'll also hold the Diploma in Financial Planning or be working towards it, with a genuine interest in developing your technical knowledge and progressing your career.

You'll need good attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively. Just as importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has a positive attitude and is keen to continue learning and developing.

What's on Offer?

  • Basic salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience.
  • Strong bonus potential.
  • Excellent company benefits.
  • Hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working from home.
  • The opportunity to work alongside successful Financial Planners and an experienced paraplanning team.
  • The chance to join one of the UK's leading financial planning and wealth management organisations.
