Paraplanner – Lichfield, Staffordshire
£40,000–£50,000, negotiable depending on experience (can be flexible)
Hybrid working | Flexible or part-time arrangements considered
An opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a boutique wealth management firm, working closely with Financial Planners on complex planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
This role will appeal to someone who enjoys getting into the detail of a client’s circumstances, exploring the options and helping shape the advice. You’ll join a small, collaborative team where your technical input makes a meaningful contribution to the financial planning process.
The opportunity
The firm builds long-term relationships with clients, providing personalised advice across investments, retirement planning, tax and estate planning, protection and the structuring of wealth.
The complexity of these relationships creates varied and interesting work, with scope to deepen your technical knowledge and contribute to planning decisions alongside experienced Financial Planners.
For someone considering their next career step, this offers the opportunity to strengthen their expertise, gain exposure to more sophisticated planning and develop within a business where individual contributions are valued.
The role
You will provide technical support throughout the advice process, with responsibilities including:
-
Researching and analysing pensions, investments and protection arrangements.
-
Preparing clear, accurate suitability reports tailored to each client.
-
Supporting cashflow modelling and the development of financial planning strategies.
-
Discussing recommendations with Financial Planners and identifying areas requiring further consideration.
-
Working closely with Administrators to ensure client information is complete and recommendations are implemented efficiently.
-
Maintaining your knowledge of products, legislation and regulatory requirements.
About you
You will have experience in a Paraplanning role and hold the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum. Further qualifications or progress towards Chartered status would be welcomed.
Alongside strong research and report-writing skills, you’ll bring an enquiring approach, attention to detail and the confidence to discuss technical matters with colleagues. You should enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in delivering thoughtful, well-supported advice.

A salary in the region of £40,000–£50,000, with flexibility to attract the right person.
