Financial Planning Administrator
Newcastle | Up to £32,000 plus discretionary annual bonus and excellent benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planning Administrator to join a leading UK Wealth Management organisation within its Newcastle Financial Planning team.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering excellent client service and wants to continue developing their career within administration. You will work closely with Financial Planners, supporting clients throughout their relationship with the business and taking ownership of a varied range of administrative responsibilities.
Alongside a competitive salary, the company offers an extensive benefits package, fully funded professional qualifications and hybrid working following probation.
The role
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to Financial Planners, helping ensure clients receive an efficient, accurate and professional service from initial onboarding through to ongoing reviews.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing client onboarding, setting up accounts and completing relevant documentation and anti-money laundering checks.
• Requesting policy information and liaising with providers regarding existing pensions, investments and protection arrangements.
• Preparing meeting packs, valuations and documentation for client reviews.
• Processing new business, transfers, withdrawals and other servicing requests, tracking these through to completion.
• Building relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day enquiries.
• Maintaining accurate client records and keeping back-office systems updated.
• Working closely with Financial Planners and operational colleagues to resolve queries and follow through on outstanding actions.
About you
You will have previous experience within an IFA, Financial Planning or Wealth Management business, with exposure to the full end-to-end client lifecycle.
Strong product knowledge is important, particularly across pensions and investments, including ISAs, SIPPs, investment accounts and bonds. You should be confident liaising with providers and clients, managing competing priorities and ensuring work is completed accurately.
The business is looking for someone who takes pride in administration and sees their longer-term career developing within this area. Fully funded exam support is available to strengthen your technical knowledge and professional qualifications, although opportunities to move into paraplanning are limited in the near term.
Salary, benefits and development
• Basic salary up to £32,000, depending on experience.
• Discretionary annual bonus.
• Employer pension contributions.
• Private medical insurance.
• Group life assurance and income protection.
• Generous annual leave allowance, with the option to purchase additional holiday.
• Fully funded support for relevant professional qualifications.
• Structured training and ongoing professional development.
• Additional benefits including a cycle-to-work scheme and gym discounts.
• Hybrid working following successful completion of six months’ probation, with three days in the office and two working from home.
