  • £60,000 - £75,000 + Bonus and benefits

Job details.

MBF are proud to be partnering with a well-established, fully independent financial planning firm known for delivering high-quality, holistic advice and maintaining an outstanding reputation across Devon and Somerset. Following a recent acquisition, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Adviser to take over a substantial, loyal client book valued at approximately £40M AUM.

This is a rare opportunity to join a professional, client-centric team at a senior level. The successful candidate will inherit a high-quality portfolio and play a key role in the ongoing development of the firm. Alongside delivering first-class financial planning to clients, you will act as a senior member of the team providing oversight, mentorship and support to more junior advisers and acting as a key point of contact within the advisory function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored, holistic financial advice to a diverse HNW client base in line with their individual needs and long-term goals.
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships, ensuring high levels of retention and client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic input and leadership within the advisory team, including mentoring and supporting junior Financial Advisers.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities through referrals and introductions from professional connections.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments, market trends and best practices to ensure consistently compliant and effective advice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Financial Adviser, ideally in an independent or chartered environment.
  • Strong track record of managing and growing client relationships.
  • Proven leadership capabilities or mentoring experience within an advisory team.
  • Advanced knowledge of holistic financial planning, including investment strategies, pensions, and estate planning.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum); Chartered status or progress toward it is highly desirable.

What’s on Offer

  • Inheritance of a substantial, loyal client book (approx. £40M AUM).
  • A senior-level position with scope to influence and shape the future of the advisory team.
  • Extensive paraplanning, administrative, and compliance support to allow you to focus on client service and strategic growth.
  • Regular access to new client introductions and warm leads to support further development.
  • A supportive, collaborative working culture with long-term progression opportunities.
  • Competitive basic salary circa (negotiable depending on experience) plus a generous performance-related bonus structure.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced adviser seeking career progression and long-term stability within a thriving independent firm.
