This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, technically strong environment supporting a team of 11 Financial Planners at varying stages of their careers, working alongside an experienced Senior Paraplanner (Lead), four additional Paraplanners and dedicated administrative support.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, client-focused financial planning support, working closely with advisers to produce technically robust advice and help clients achieve their long-term objectives.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for preparing and writing high-quality suitability reports, carrying out technical research, supporting annual reviews and contributing to the delivery of an exceptional client experience.

This is a supportive and developmental environment offering full study support for those progressing toward Chartered status, with potential longer-term progression opportunities within Financial Planning, subject to business requirements and team structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality, compliant and client-focused suitability reports and advice documentation
  • Produce cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis to support long-term client objectives
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, tax planning and estate planning matters
  • Support Financial Planners with annual reviews and ongoing client servicing requirements
  • Attend client meetings where required, prepare meeting notes and assist with follow-up actions
  • Work closely with advisers and internal stakeholders to support delivery and commercial objectives
  • Manage your own workflow effectively, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, templates and best practice within the team
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of legislation, regulation and market developments

About You

You will be an experienced Paraplanner with strong technical capability and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (essential)
  • Progress towards Chartered status would be highly advantageous, particularly for candidates seeking remuneration at the upper end of the salary range
  • Minimum 3+ years’ paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment
  • Strong technical knowledge across:
    • Pensions
    • Estate planning
    • Investments
    • UK tax planning including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
  • Experience using established tools, templates and centralised advice frameworks
  • Ability to manage your own workload and maintain consistently high standards of output

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary package up to £55,000
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Strong pension contribution
  • Private medical cover
  • Life assurance and income protection
  • Hybrid working model
  • Generous holiday allowance with flexibility to purchase additional days
  • Full study support including funding and study leave
  • Additional wellbeing, lifestyle and employee benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable Paraplanner looking to join a well-established, supportive team environment with genuine investment in professional development.
