Paraplanner

  • £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus and benefits

Job details.

We are working with a highly regarded boutique Chartered Financial Planning practice on the outskirts of Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established local firm that has built an excellent reputation across the region for high-quality, ethical advice and exceptional client care.

The Opportunity

You will join a friendly, collaborative team, working closely with a group of very successful Financial Planners. The business has a strong paraplanning and administrative structure in place, meaning you will be fully supported by experienced IFA Administrators while working alongside other skilled Paraplanners.

This role offers true depth and variety in paraplanning, ideal for someone who enjoys getting involved in detailed casework and contributing to high-quality financial planning outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality, compliant suitability reports across a range of advice areas, including pensions, investments, IHT, and retirement planning
  • Analyse client information, undertake technical research and prepare appropriate recommendations
  • Work closely with Financial Planners to support them through the full advice process
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all advice meets FCA and internal compliance standards
  • Contribute to the development of internal processes and client service improvements
  • Support the wider team and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless client service

About You

  • Strong paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment
  • Diploma qualified (DipPFS) preferred, or working towards – however, experienced paraplanners without the diploma will also be considered
  • Ideally on the pathway towards Chartered status or keen to progress
  • Strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a small team
  • A proactive, positive attitude and genuine passion for quality financial planning

What’s on offer

  • Basic salary up to £55,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Annual bonus and benefits package
  • Comprehensive on-the-job training, mentoring and study support
  • Hybrid working
  • Clear and flexible progression pathways – whether towards Paraplanning Team Leader/Management or moving into an Advisory role in the future
  • A supportive, friendly culture where your contribution genuinely matters

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Paraplanner who wants to be part of a well-established firm that values its people and encourages long-term career development.
