Paraplanner – Chester
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience (ideally £35,000 to £40,000, with flexibility for highly experienced and qualified candidates)
Hours: Full-time
Location: Chester (Hybrid working available)

Our client is a fast-growing financial planning firm with a close-knit team of six. As they continue to expand, they are seeking an experienced Paraplanner who is committed to a long-term career in Paraplanning. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, progressive business where your technical expertise and development truly matter.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play an integral part in delivering high-quality financial planning support. You will work directly with advisers and administrators to produce detailed technical work, research, and compliant reports that help deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis across pensions, investments, protection, tax and estate planning

  • Prepare clear, accurate and well-structured suitability reports

  • Collaborate with advisers to refine client objectives and develop comprehensive strategies

  • Support cashflow modelling and scenario planning

  • Ensure all documentation is compliant and meets regulatory standards

  • Provide technical input and help enhance internal advice processes

About You

  • Demonstrable experience in a Paraplanner role within financial planning or wealth management

  • Ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified, or actively working towards it

  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and taxation

  • Excellent written communication, analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Highly organised and proactive, with a commitment to producing work of a high standard

  • Confident using financial planning software such as Voyant, CashCalc or FE Analytics
