A well-established and growing financial planning firm is seeking a Junior Paraplanner / Report Writer to join their team in Truro. This is an excellent opportunity for someone working towards their Level 4 Diploma who is looking to develop their career within a highly regarded wealth management environment.
You will play a key role supporting financial advisers by preparing research, producing suitability reports and assisting with new business processing. The firm offers a supportive team environment and strong opportunities for training, development and professional progression.
The Role
Working closely with advisers and the wider financial planning team, you will provide high-quality paraplanning and report writing support, ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Logging and managing paraplanning requests from advisers
- Providing paraplanning support across a range of new business including investments, pensions and protection
- Preparing suitability reports based on fact finds, research and adviser notes
- Conducting provider and fund research, including risk scoring and performance analysis
- Producing quotes and illustrations using provider platforms and research tools
- Ensuring client records and fact finds are complete and up to date within the back-office system
- Liaising with advisers where further information is required
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy in all data, analysis and written work
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience within financial services and be looking to progress their career in paraplanning.
You will ideally have:
- Around 1–2 years’ experience within financial services, ideally in a paraplanning or report writing capacity
- Working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
- Experience using financial services back-office systems
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear reports
- Good attention to detail with excellent organisation and time management skills
- A proactive and positive approach with strong problem-solving ability
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
