Investment Manager - Salary negotiable depending on experience - Leading International Wealth Management Organisation 

MBF Recruitment are currently working with one of the UK's leading Wealth & Investment Management Organisations who are looking to recruit an experienced Investment Manager to work within their Intermediaries Team. Assigned a book of clients from day 1, you will be responsible for servicing these existing relationships as well as developing new ones with other IFA's and firms in the West Midlands. 

Ideally we are looking for an experienced Investment Manager who has a thorough understanding of how to work closely and build relationships with Intermediaries, including the challenges that they may encounter. The individual must be technically sound while demonstrating confidence and first class communication skills. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the management of a client base, developing and maintaining existing client relationships, whilst further increasing business with the generation of new clients
  • Proactively represents IM function internally and externally to develop and positively influence the firm’s position within the marketplace
  • Proactively networks through seeking opportunities with current, new and potential clients.
  • Where appropriate, produces portfolio solutions to meet clients’ needs and delivers ongoing monitoring and review, making changes where appropriate to deliver continued suitability of investments
  • Responsible for ensuring ongoing client suitability
  • Responsible for all actions consistent with the management and advice of client portfolios, where appropriate
  • Independently and confidently manages the client advice relationship to ensure engagement opportunities to develop client acquisition
  • Able to clearly explain to clients why changes to their portfolio may better suit their investment objectives
  • Shares best practice opportunities to deliver business growth that will contribute to the success of the team / office

Qualifications:

  • Meets FCA qualification and internal requirements for authorisation to provide advice in complex and specialist areas
  • Achieved CISI Level 7 Wealth Management Masters or equivalent.
  • Maintains SPS in line with professional body requirements


Skills:

  • We are looking for a committed individual who will continue to actively develop their investment management, client advice processes and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent communications skills as you will be dealing with many stakeholders including those at the company and externally through clients and IFA firms.
  • You will bring an engaging personality, with the confidence and gravitas to build long standing relationships with clients.
  • You will have a good understanding of financial markets/risk management techniques/regulatory requirements.

  • The company are open to candidates with different levels of experience, with Director level appointments possible for the right candidate
  • Basic salary on offer between £50,000 and £110,000
