Financial Planning Administrator – Review Team

Cheadle, Cheshire
Up to £30,000 plus bonus and benefits
One day per week from home after three months

Job Advert

MBF Recruitment is currently working with an established firm of Chartered Financial Planners to recruit a Financial Planning Administrator for its dedicated Review Team in Cheadle.

This is different from a traditional IFA administration position. The role focuses on preparing client review reports, gathering information from investment platforms, completing performance analysis and producing cashflow forecasts.

It would suit someone with previous Financial Planning, wealth management or IFA experience who enjoys accurate, detailed work and wants to build a long-term career as an administration specialist.

The company is not necessarily looking for someone who sees administration as a short-term route into paraplanning or financial advice. Support is available for relevant professional qualifications, but experienced career administrators are equally recognised and valued.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing client review reports using Dynamic Planner and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Gathering valuations, performance data and supporting information from multiple investment platforms
  • Maintaining accurate client records and managing review activity through Intelliflo Office
  • Using FE Analytics to support investment research and performance analysis
  • Producing cashflow forecasts and financial planning scenarios
  • Reviewing client information and highlighting potential planning needs for consideration by the Financial Planners
  • Communicating professionally with clients, colleagues and product providers
  • Ensuring client reports and supporting information are accurate, complete and professionally presented

What we are looking for

Applicants should have previous experience within Financial Planning, wealth management or an IFA environment, alongside a working understanding of:

  • Pensions
  • ISAs
  • General Investment Accounts
  • Investment bonds

Experience using Intelliflo Office is highly desirable.

CashCalc and Dynamic Planner experience would also be beneficial, although applicants who have used comparable cashflow planning and risk-profiling software will be considered.

Experience of any of the following platforms would be useful:

  • Royal London
  • Quilter
  • Parmenion
  • Aviva
  • Scottish Widows Platform
  • Hubwise
  • Transact
  • Raymond James

You should be comfortable gathering information from different sources, working with detailed financial data and producing accurate client-facing documents. Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills will be essential.

Package

  • Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience
  • Annual bonus scheme
  • 22 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Christmas office closure, requiring only two days of annual leave for the full week
  • 5% employer pension contribution after three months
  • Three times salary death in service after three months
  • Group critical illness cover of one times salary after 12 months
  • Financial support for relevant professional qualifications
  • Bonus of up to £100 for each relevant exam passed
  • One day per week working from home after the first three months

The role will initially be based in the Cheadle office five days per week for three months.
