Job details.

A national and well-established wealth and financial planning practice, supporting approximately £10bn+ in assets under advice, is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its growing team in the Cotswolds. The firm has a long-standing reputation for high-quality advice and a client-centric approach. They also offer their advisers a stable, well-supported environment for long-term career development.

The Opportunity

This position offers an exceptional succession pathway. You will work in close partnership with a highly experienced Senior Financial Planner who is preparing for retirement over the next 12–18 months. As part of a structured and well-managed succession plan, you will be introduced to a substantial client portfolio in advance, with the intention of taking over a significant book of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients (approx. £50M+ AUM).

In addition to inheriting this portfolio, you will also have the opportunity to service incoming leads from the business and ideally, bring a small number of existing clients with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic financial planning and ongoing advice to a diverse portfolio of HNW and UHNW clients
  • Develop strong client relationships and deliver high-quality, regulated financial advice
  • Work closely with a Senior Financial Planner to ensure smooth and well-managed client handovers
  • Support succession planning through joint meetings, relationship building, and transition preparation
  • Maintain excellent technical knowledge and uphold professional and ethical standards
  • Contribute to business development and represent the firm within the local marketplace

About You

  • Experienced Financial Planner with a proven track record
  • Ideally able to transition some existing client relationships
  • Chartered or progressing towards Chartered status
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial planning
  • Confident working independently while contributing to a collaborative, supportive team environment

What the Firm Offers

  • A well-capitalised, reputable national wealth management practice with strong market presence
  • A structured succession plan enabling the takeover of a substantial, established client book
  • No validation requirement for the first 12 months, followed by performance-linked bonus potential
  • High-quality leads, robust paraplanning, administrative support and modern technology infrastructure
  • A long-term career pathway within a stable and forward-thinking organisation

This is a rare opportunity for an adviser seeking stability, progression, and the ability to inherit a high-value client bank within a respected national firm. If you are looking for a long-term career move within a professional and supportive environment, this role offers exceptional prospects.
