We are seeking a knowledgeable Compliance Manager to provide the business with day-to-day advisory and oversight activities, assist in the delivery of the compliance plan and manage the compliance relationship with assigned managed client.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Compliance in delivering the compliance plan and reporting to boards and committees.
- Manage junior compliance team members, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Analyze regulatory changes and update staff and clients.
- Review and develop compliance policies annually.
- Lead compliance meetings with clients, providing advice.
- Deliver compliance training to staff and clients.
- Provide sanctions advice within SLAs.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and transitioning exiting clients.
- Review risk controls quarterly and raise issues as needed.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns.
- Participate in additional projects as they arise.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK insurance regulation and experience with a Lloyd’s insurance market
- Experience applying regulatory knowledge in an insurance business.
- Experience with sanctions referrals and conduct risk.
- Degree-level education preferred and ACII qualified or working towards it.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
