Are you an experienced Underwriting Assistant in the Accident & Health (A&H) class of business looking for the next step in your career? Here's your chance to take a leap into a dynamic role as an Assistant Underwriter. Joining this leading team of A&H Underwriters working across both company and Syndicate platforms of this growing Insurance provider.
Role Overview:
- As an Assistant Underwriter for A&H, you will play a crucial role in achieving their International A&H plan. Reporting to the International Head of A&H, you will lead the pricing of business, provide support to underwriters, and contribute to the efficient administration and servicing of underwriting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pricing: Take a lead role in the pricing of both new and renewal A&H business.
- Policy Management: Review and produce policy wordings. Monitor and analyse the A&H portfolio accumulation exposures.
- Exposure Management: Work with the internal Exposure Management team to ensure accurate and up-to-date accumulations.
- Market Expansion: Collaborate with other offices across Continental Europe to expand the A&H product offering.
- Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding of new A&H MGAs/Binders.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor A&H direct MGA/binder accumulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with brokers to obtain risk information and respond to inquiries.
- Attend broker meetings on behalf of the insurer
- Attend Lloyd’s of London to meet with brokers.
- Underwriting Presentations: Assist in the preparation of underwriting presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analysis and Reporting: Report on statistical and underwriting analysis of the A&H business portfolio.
- Produce in-house reports monthly/quarterly or as requested.
- Financial Transactions: Liaise with Accounts and chase premium from brokers/clients when requested.
- Claims Monitoring: Liaise with the Claims Department to monitor claims.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CII or working towards
- 2 plus years London Market experience within Accident & Health
