We are currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded national wealth management business that is looking to appoint a Training & Competence Supervisor to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key role within the business, supporting the development, oversight and ongoing competency of Financial Planners and Advisers across the organisation.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a central role in overseeing the Training & Competence (T&C) framework, ensuring advisers operate in line with FCA requirements and internal standards.

This is a varied and impactful position, combining coaching, monitoring, training delivery and regulatory oversight, with the opportunity to influence and improve the overall quality of advice across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the T&C framework for Financial Planners, Mortgage Advisers and other regulated individuals
  • Conduct observations, file reviews and competency assessments
  • Deliver structured training sessions (both 1:1 and group) to support adviser development
  • Identify knowledge gaps and implement tailored development plans
  • Support advisers in achieving and maintaining Competent Adviser Status (CAS)
  • Maintain accurate T&C records and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with Compliance, HR and senior leadership to ensure consistent standards
  • Monitor advice quality and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes, including FCA requirements and Consumer Duty

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS, DipFA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience within a T&C, Compliance, or Paraplanning/Advisory role within financial services
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and T&C frameworks
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring or developing advisers
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to influence stakeholders

What’s on Offer

  • Basic salary up to £60,000
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Excellent company benefits package
  • Home-based working with flexibility
  • The opportunity to play a key role in a growing, forward-thinking business
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and the ability to influence business-wide standards

Please note, this role will involve some travel to offices and adviser locations as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a high-impact role where they can shape adviser development and contribute to the continued success of a respected wealth management business.
