Paraplanner / Senior Paraplanner

Edinburgh | Up to £50,000 + Bonus + Outstanding Benefits

An ambitious and rapidly expanding national Financial Planning business is looking to recruit both a Paraplanner and a Senior Paraplanner as part of the continued growth of its Edinburgh office.

These are genuine growth opportunities created through continued expansion, not replacement hires. Further recruitment is expected as the business continues to invest in Scotland.

The company has built an excellent reputation for developing its people, promoting from within and offering long-term career opportunities across Technical, Financial Planning and Leadership roles.

The Roles

Paraplanner

Ideal for someone with around 12 months' Paraplanning experience who is looking to continue developing their technical knowledge within a supportive environment.

You'll prepare suitability reports, undertake technical research and work closely with Financial Planners to deliver high-quality advice to clients.

Applicants will ideally hold the Level 4 Diploma, although candidates who are close to achieving this will also be considered.

Senior Paraplanner

The Senior Paraplanner will act as a technical mentor within the team, supporting colleagues with complex cases and sharing technical expertise.

This is not a line management role and would suit someone who enjoys coaching others whilst remaining hands-on technically.

Career Development

Whether your ambition is to become Chartered, move into leadership or eventually become a Financial Planner, this business actively supports career progression.

Paraplanners who achieve Level 4 and demonstrate the right aptitude are encouraged to apply for internal Trainee Financial Adviser opportunities, with internal candidates always considered before external recruitment.

Flexible Working

The hiring manager is keen to attract the right people and is genuinely open-minded when it comes to working arrangements.

They're happy to consider:

  • Full-time or part-time hours
  • Compressed hours
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Hybrid working

The team typically works around three days per week in the office. However, applicants looking for two days, or potentially even one day per week for the right person, are encouraged to have a confidential conversation.

Benefits

  • Salary up to £50,000
  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • 35-hour working week
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • Three additional office closure days over Christmas
  • Buy or sell up to five days' holiday
  • 7.5% employer pension contribution
  • Private Medical Insurance with Vitality
  • 4x Life Assurance
  • Group Income Protection
  • Employee share scheme
  • Fully funded Chartered qualifications
  • Eight paid study and revision days each year

If you're looking for a long-term career with a business that's continuing to invest in both its people and its future, we'd be delighted to tell you more.
