Investment Manager - Glasgow - Salary negotiable depending on experience - Leading International Wealth Management Organisation 

MBF Recruitment are currently working with one of the UK's leading Wealth & Investment Management Organisations who are looking to recruit an experienced Investment Manager to service and develop a mixed book of clients in the Glasgow area. The role is taking over from a long serving member of staff who has recently retired and so there will be a number of existing relationships to take over upon joining the business. These relationships vary from HNW Private clients, Charities and Trusts to IFA's and Intermediaries, so our client are open to considering an Investment Manager from different backgrounds for this position. 

The Investment Management team is part of a wider group offering a variety of services, including Financial Advice, to their clients. For this reason, we are looking for a 'Team Player', who is able to spot potential opportunities with their clients for the business as a whole, rather than just the Discretionary Management services. This work ethic will be reciprocated and in turn, the company's Financial Planners will be able to help with Leads and  suitable client introductions. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the management of a client base, developing and maintaining existing client relationships, whilst further increasing business with the generation of new clients
  • Proactively represents IM function internally and externally to develop and positively influence the firm’s position within the marketplace
  • Proactively networks through seeking opportunities with current, new and potential clients.
  • Where appropriate, produces portfolio solutions to meet clients’ needs and delivers ongoing monitoring and review, making changes where appropriate to deliver continued suitability of investments
  • Responsible for ensuring ongoing client suitability
  • Responsible for all actions consistent with the management and advice of client portfolios, where appropriate
  • Independently and confidently manages the client advice relationship to ensure engagement opportunities to develop client acquisition
  • Able to clearly explain to clients why changes to their portfolio may better suit their investment objectives
  • Shares best practice opportunities to deliver business growth that will contribute to the success of the team / office

Qualifications:

  • Meets FCA qualification and internal requirements for authorisation to provide advice in complex and specialist areas
  • Achieved CISI Level 7 Wealth Management Masters or equivalent.
  • Maintains SPS in line with professional body requirements


Skills:

  • We are looking for a committed individual who will continue to actively develop their investment management, client advice processes and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • You will bring an engaging personality, with the confidence and gravitas to build long standing relationships with clients.
  • You will have a good understanding of financial markets/risk management techniques/regulatory requirements.

  • Basic salary on offer between £65,000 and £85,000, potentially higher for the right person
