An established Chartered Financial Planning firm in Knutsford is looking to expand its highly valued Paraplanning team as part of ambitious growth plans over the next five years.

The company provides financial planning to high-net-worth individuals and has built an excellent reputation for professionalism, technical expertise and client service.

Paraplanners play an important role within the advice process and work closely with experienced, client-facing Financial Planners. The successful candidate will conduct detailed research, analyse client information and produce clear, technically accurate suitability reports.

The role

  • Receive and interpret instructions following client meetings
  • Analyse clients’ circumstances, needs and objectives
  • Conduct pension, investment and product research
  • Develop appropriate financial planning solutions
  • Prepare suitability reports, illustrations and supporting documentation
  • Maintain clear records of all research undertaken
  • Prepare existing client files for ongoing reviews
  • Ensure client files remain accurate and compliant
  • Work closely with Financial Planners and the wider Paraplanning team
  • Contribute to the continued development of the firm’s advice process

The successful candidate

  • At least two years’ experience in a Paraplanning role
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Strong pensions and investment knowledge
  • Experience producing professional and technically detailed suitability reports
  • A clear understanding of the financial planning process
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work without close supervision
  • A good understanding of compliance requirements
  • A positive, self-driven and collaborative approach
