We are delighted to be recruiting for a highly successful financial services firm with offices across the South West of England. Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Administrative Assistant to join their Plymouth office on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting senior leaders and contributing to the continued growth of a thriving business.

The Role

As Administrative Assistant, you will provide day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to Partners, Directors, and Managers. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, as well as ensuring the smooth running of office operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ad hoc accounts, administration, and secretarial support to the leadership team.
  • Managing meeting room diaries, set-ups and close downs, and arranging hospitality for clients.
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and post, ensuring communication is accurate and efficient.
  • Assisting with client onboarding processes, including ID checks and system set-up.
  • Maintaining office supplies, databases, and records in an organised and efficient manner.
  • Supporting with payments, petty cash, and general office finance tasks.
  • Coordinating invitations, attendees, and content for local office events.
  • Providing wider support on projects and ad hoc duties as required.

This role would suit someone with prior administration experience who is looking to develop further, or a motivated individual seeking their first professional opportunity after gaining relevant qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A positive, approachable, and professional manner.
  • Confidence in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when handling tasks.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to work.
