Financial Planning Administrator

Location: Lytham

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: Up to £28,000 (DOE)

A long-established and reputable financial advice firm in Lytham is seeking a Financial Planning Administrator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with a background in financial services to play a key role in supporting advisers and clients.

The Role

As a Financial Planning Administrator, you will provide vital support to the advice team, ensuring client records are accurate, compliance requirements are met, and service standards remain high. The role involves managing documentation, liaising with clients and providers, and working closely with advisers and paraplanners to deliver excellent client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare documentation for client review meetings, including portfolio valuations
  • Maintain accurate client records and compliance documentation
  • Process client review and new business applications within agreed timescales
  • Provide high-quality client service, handling enquiries promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with advisers and paraplanners to support the financial planning process
  • Ensure all processes and activities meet compliance and regulatory standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a financial services administrative role, ideally within an IFA office
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and financial platforms/systems
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients and providers
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Basic knowledge of financial products (advantageous)
