Opportunity to join an experienced team as a Catastrophe Modelling Analyst and be at the forefront of shaping our clients risk landscape! As a key player, you'll collaborate with underwriting teams, ensuring accurate geographical and financial data capture for their cutting-edge portfolio. Dive into the world of risk analysis and play a pivotal role in producing insightful reports that drive informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive day-to-day capture of geographical and financial data for the Syndicate's portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting teams for accurate aggregate and modelling data collection.
  • Classify and assign written risks based on territory and complexity.
  • Ensure seamless upload of binder data to the outsourcing partner.
  • Champion quality control for outsourced binder data with effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development of the Data Dictionary for enhanced efficiency.
  • Proactively produce pre-underwriting model analysis reports.
  • Craft engaging written risk analysis reports.
  • Analyse changes in modelled results and provide clear explanations.
  • Take charge of data analysis to uncover valuable insights.
  • Track and report on portfolios monthly and quarterly.
  • Conduct data validations to uphold the highest data quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Exposure Management to implement new underwriting classes.
  • Play a role in producing ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Streamline workflow through the integration of new technologies.
  • Foster regular interaction with all teams within the Agency.

Requirements:

  • Degree or strong A levels, preferably in a numerate or geographical subject area.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel for efficient data management.
  • Strong planning abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear and accurate written correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills to build and manage internal and external relationships.
  • Highly organised with the ability to understand and promptly respond to customer needs.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and management.
