Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)

The Opportunity

As a Paraplanner, you will play a central role in supporting a team of Financial Planners, providing comprehensive technical and analytical support. This is an environment that values precision, professionalism and proactive thinking, where your expertise will make a genuine impact on client outcomes and business success.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of intricate cases and develop your technical knowledge further, with ongoing professional development fully supported.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality client reports, suitability letters and annual review documents

  • Collaborate closely with Financial Planners to implement client recommendations efficiently and accurately

  • Gather, analyse and maintain detailed client data using Intelligent Office and financial planning software

  • Conduct in-depth product and market research to support advice recommendations

  • Liaise directly with clients and third parties, ensuring exceptional service and clear communication

  • Manage your own workflow effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and standards are maintained

  • Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies, including AML requirements

  • Support the continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and systems


About You

  • Minimum CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience in a paraplanning role within a financial planning or wealth management environment

  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning

  • Proficient with financial planning software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly

  • Highly organised, analytical and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively

  • A proactive team player who takes ownership and maintains high personal standards
