We are currently working in partnership with a highly respected, independent firm of Chartered Financial Planners to recruit an experienced Paraplanner.

This is an excellent opportunity for a career paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and takes pride in producing high-quality, detailed work. This position is suited to someone who wants to continue developing as a technical specialist within a supportive, professional environment.

The Business
Our client is an established and organically grown independent financial planning firm with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality, client-focused advice.

The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, they are seeking a technically strong Paraplanner to act as a key resource within the business. You will work closely with advisers and the wider team, supporting complex cases and helping maintain exceptional standards of advice across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-level paraplanning support to advisers
  • Producing detailed and accurate suitability reports
  • Conducting complex technical research and analysis
  • Preparing tax calculations (IHT, CGT, Annual Allowance, etc.)
  • Reviewing files for complex and higher-risk cases
  • Preparing client valuations and investment analysis

About You:

  • Diploma-qualified as a minimum (Chartered progression supported)
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and estate planning
  • Experience working within an independent financial planning environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A Pension Transfer Specialist qualification (G60, AF3 or AF7) would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 5:00pm

Friday: 8:45am – 12:45pm

  • Salary up to £50,000 (dependent on experience)
