Financial Planner – Wealth Management

Salary: £60,000 – £90,000 (up to £90,000 for Chartered candidates) + discretionary bonus

An established and award-winning professional services firm is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its growing Wealth Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven adviser who thrives on developing new business and building long-term client relationships.

With a strong presence across the UK and international backing, the firm offers a collaborative environment where Wealth Management works closely alongside accountancy, tax, audit, corporate finance, and advisory teams to deliver a truly holistic service to clients.

This role is ideally suited to a Financial Planner who enjoys networking, generating referrals, and proactively winning new clients, rather than solely managing an existing client bank.

The Opportunity

  • Join a high-growth Wealth Management division with strong internal referral opportunities
  • Work alongside specialist teams including tax, audit, corporate finance, and advisory
  • Benefit from some warm leads via an established client base
  • Focus primarily on new business generation and client acquisition
  • Be part of a firm that actively supports career development and progression

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and professional connections
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed client fact-finds to understand financial goals, risk appetite, and current position
  • Deliver tailored financial planning advice across pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection
  • Develop and implement strategies for retirement planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation
  • Provide ongoing reviews and adapt financial plans in line with client needs and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all advice is compliant with FCA regulations and internal standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely client documentation and records

Key Accountabilities

  • Client consultation and relationship management
  • Financial planning across pensions, investments, and tax-efficient structures
  • Investment research and portfolio recommendations
  • Retirement planning, including drawdown and income strategies
  • Full compliance with UK regulatory standards and FCA requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent as a minimum
  • Chartered status desirable, with higher salary banding available
  • Proven track record as a Financial Adviser in the UK market
  • Strong business development capability with evidence of winning new clients
  • In-depth knowledge of pensions, investments, ISAs, SIPPs, and tax planning
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to work independently

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive basic salary ranging from £60,000 to £90,000
  • £80,000 – £90,000 typically offered for Chartered candidates
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Access to internal referral networks and multidisciplinary support
  • Clear career progression within a growing national and international firm

If you are an ambitious Financial Planner looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and growth-focused environment, this could be the ideal opportunity.
