We’re working with a growing boutique wealth management firm seeking to appoint an ambitious individual with financial planning experience and RO exams, who is looking for a clear and structured pathway into a Trainee Financial Adviser role with progression into full client advising.
This position is ideally suited to someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and ready for their next challenge - offering a genuine opportunity to develop into an adviser within a highly supportive and entrepreneurial environment.
You will work closely alongside experienced Financial Planners in a structured trainee adviser capacity, attending client meetings, shadowing advisers and gaining hands-on exposure to live financial planning work. Over time, you will build the skills, confidence, and experience required to step into a Junior Financial Planner / Adviser position.
This is a structured development pathway, with a clear intention for progression into an advisory role within approximately 12–18 months, subject to performance, competency, and qualification progression.

Key Responsibilities
- Shadowing experienced Financial Planners in client meetings
- Supporting the preparation of suitability reports and recommendations
- Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, and protection
- Assisting in the development of tailored financial planning strategies
- Preparing meeting notes and maintaining accurate client records
- Liaising with providers and platforms to support the advice process
- Building knowledge of cashflow modelling and financial planning tools
- Supporting ongoing client servicing and annual reviews
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience within financial planning, paraplanning, or a technical support role
- Progress towards or completion of RO exams / Level 4 Diploma
- Strong understanding of pensions and investment products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine ambition to progress into a Financial Adviser role
- Confidence engaging in client-facing environments
- A proactive, driven, and commercially minded approach
