This position is ideally suited to someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and ready for their next challenge - offering a genuine opportunity to develop into an adviser within a highly supportive and entrepreneurial environment.

You will work closely alongside experienced Financial Planners in a structured trainee adviser capacity, attending client meetings, shadowing advisers and gaining hands-on exposure to live financial planning work. Over time, you will build the skills, confidence, and experience required to step into a Junior Financial Planner / Adviser position.

This is a structured development pathway, with a clear intention for progression into an advisory role within approximately 12–18 months, subject to performance, competency, and qualification progression.

The Opportunity

You will gain exposure to:

  • Real client financial planning work from day one
  • High-net-worth and affluent private clients
  • Holistic financial planning including pensions, investments, and protection
  • Cashflow modelling and scenario planning
  • Client meetings and adviser-led review meetings
  • A highly personalised, relationship-led advisory environment
  • A structured route into becoming a fully competent Financial Adviser

Key Responsibilities

  • Shadowing experienced Financial Planners in client meetings
  • Supporting the preparation of suitability reports and recommendations
  • Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, and protection
  • Assisting in the development of tailored financial planning strategies
  • Preparing meeting notes and maintaining accurate client records
  • Liaising with providers and platforms to support the advice process
  • Building knowledge of cashflow modelling and financial planning tools
  • Supporting ongoing client servicing and annual reviews

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience within financial planning, paraplanning, or a technical support role
  • Progress towards or completion of RO exams / Level 4 Diploma
  • Strong understanding of pensions and investment products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine ambition to progress into a Financial Adviser role
  • Confidence engaging in client-facing environments
  • A proactive, driven, and commercially minded approach

What’s on Offer

  • £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (flexible for the right individual)
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Benefits package
  • Hybrid working
  • Clear and structured progression into a Financial Adviser role
  • Full exposure to client meetings and live financial planning cases
  • Supportive, collaborative, and high-quality advisory environment

This is a standout opportunity for an ambitious individual who is ready to take the next step towards becoming a Financial Adviser within a forward-thinking and fast-growing wealth management business.
