Paraplanner – Leading Wealth Management Firm

Location: Manchester
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 plus annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits
Contract: Permanent

A prestigious UK wealth management firm is seeking a Level 4 Diploma-qualified Paraplanner to join its established and highly regarded Financial Planning team in Manchester. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner looking to take a step up into a leading private wealth institution, working alongside senior Financial Planning Directors and gaining exposure to High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients.

You will be joining a collaborative, experienced, and supportive environment where quality of advice, professional standards, and long-term development are central. The firm offers full exam support, a clear structure for career progression, and a culture that encourages continuous professional growth.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a technically capable Paraplanner who wants to further develop their expertise within a highly professional setting. You will gain exposure to complex financial planning work and be part of a business that values accuracy, integrity, and career development.

While future progression opportunities exist, this position will suit someone who is happy to focus on paraplanning for the next few years, perfecting their craft, working closely with experienced Financial Planners, and building the technical foundations for long-term success.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside Financial Planning Directors to deliver detailed, client-focused advice

  • Prepare high-quality cashflow models, research, and suitability reports

  • Contribute to technical discussions and strategy development within a leading planning team

  • Attend client meetings and gain first-hand exposure to UHNW client relationships

  • Benefit from structured learning, exam sponsorship, and professional mentorship

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial planning reports and client recommendations to a high standard

  • Conduct research and analysis across pensions, investments, taxation, and estate planning

  • Support Financial Planning Directors in delivering advice and annual reviews

  • Manage your own workload and maintain exceptional attention to detail

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and best practice in advice delivery

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) is essential

  • 2–3 years of paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and taxation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to continue developing professionally

  • Able to attend the Manchester office several times per week as part of a hybrid arrangement

Benefits

  • Annual discretionary bonus

  • 9% employer pension contribution

  • Life cover and income protection

  • Private Medical Insurance

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays

  • Option to buy or sell additional holidays

  • Ongoing professional development and full exam support

  • Hybrid working environment

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s most respected wealth management firms, known for its integrity, client focus, and commitment to professional excellence. You will work with experienced financial planners on complex client cases, receive full support for further qualifications, and enjoy a long-term career path within a high-calibre planning environment.
