Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of the Personal Lines underwriting strategy, by providing technical and administrative support to the Personal Lines team across a variety of lines of business.
- Work closely with underwriters and distributors to ensure that policy wordings and scheme documentation remains accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory responsibilities.
- Liaise with distributors, colleagues and insurer partners to resolve day-to-day technical queries in an efficient, courteous and helpful manner.
- Provide day-to-day support to the underwriting team for the process of on-boarding new insurance schemes and the scheme renewals cycle, whilst ensuring that accurate records of scheme and risk information are maintained.
- Work with underwriters and distributors to ensure that policy wordings, IPIDs and all point-of-sale documentation are accurately drafted, clear and concise, and remain aligned to underwriting strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with claims administrators as required to ensure they are kept updated with any relevant scheme information or changes, and to resolve any queries that may arise in the claims process.
Experience required:
- 12 months within an insurance environment which could be customer services, claims or underwriting
- Strong communication & IT skills
- Enthusiastic to progress within a underwriter environment long term
