Purpose
In response to significant growth in business activity, our client is seeking to expand the capability of its Technical Processing function and enhance its technical capability. To this end, a new role has been created in the Technical Processing team to complement its current skillset and ensure the continued delivery of high-quality insurance transaction processing and management information to the senior management of the Company.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitoring of Policies
- Policy premium calculations – Requesting figures from Clients, Reviewing or producing excel spreadsheet
- Drafting Policy Endorsements (expiry, semi-annual premium adjustments)
- Binding Endorsements with company Insurers
- Cover Bound Endorsement
- Raising worksheets
- Updating Policy files
- File management (tagging of paper files for policies)
- Uploading documents to extranet libraries
- Uploading Emails to EAC system and tagging
- Acceptance Check List file preparation
- Files into AC Surgery
- Chasing overdue premiums, liaising with accounts department, amending SDD
- General Broker support
- Pipeline (revenue report) maintenance in Excel
- PPL Knowledge
Skills and competencies:
- Intermediate to Advanced capability with MS Excel, with a high degree of numeracy
- London Market experience in a Technical Insurance role
- Processing experience with Endorsements, Slips and Premiums
- Close attention to detail and proven record-keeping skills within a systems-oriented environment
- Tenacious, resilient, passionate & ambitious
- Proven and demonstrable senior management interaction
- Capable of using initiative to deal with multiple challenges
- Excellent planning and organisational ability, can juggle multiple demands and prioritise work accordingly
- Determination to meet tight deadlines
- Utmost attention to detail and a focus to achieve presentable and high-quality work
