T&C Officer - Financial Planning (Remote, UK)

Up to £60,000 | Remote role with UK-wide travel (office visits every 4-6 weeks)

An established and growing independent financial planning firm is looking to appoint a T&C Officer to support and develop its Technical & Competency function. The business currently supports over 40 Financial Planners and is continuing to grow through further acquisitions planned for 2026.

This is a remote position, with occasional travel to your local office (typically once every 4-6 weeks).

The Role

You will work closely with the existing T&C Manager, helping to build out and strengthen the firm’s T&C framework. The role will be adviser-facing and focused on maintaining high standards of advice quality across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting new advisers and those working towards CAS
  • Delivering training and development support to advisers at different stages of their careers
  • Conducting file checks and quality reviews in line with regulatory and internal standards
  • Carrying out virtual observations, sitting in on adviser/client video meetings and providing feedback
  • Supporting advisers during acquisitions, including training on taking over existing client books
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of T&C processes

Candidate Profile

  • Background within financial planning (compliance/T&C experience preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of FCA-regulated advice
  • Comfortable in an adviser-facing role, delivering feedback, training and guidance
  • Able to work remotely while managing workload independently
  • Open to learning and development in areas where further training may be required
  • Ideally DipPFS/Level 4 qualified
