An established, privately owned wealth management firm in Leeds is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Planning Administrator.
Founded more than 20 years ago, the business provides bespoke financial planning and private wealth management advice to professionals, senior executives, entrepreneurs and other private clients.
The firm advises across investments, retirement planning, tax planning and wealth protection, building long-term relationships and developing strategies around each client’s individual circumstances and objectives.
This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team of Financial Advisers, Paraplanners and experienced support professionals. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate client records, processing new business and helping the firm deliver a high-quality service to its clients.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Financial Advisers and Paraplanners with client administration
- Preparing and pre-completing application forms
- Producing costs and charges disclosure documents
- Obtaining illustrations and other provider information
- Preparing factsheets, KIIDs and supporting pre-advice documentation
- Submitting new business applications and investment trades through platforms and life companies
- Maintaining accurate records of transactions and trades
- Onboarding new clients and ensuring all required information is recorded
- Adding and updating client information on Intelligent Office
- Using Intelligent Office workflows and Diary Manager to monitor outstanding actions
- Submitting letters of authority and obtaining policy information from providers
- Ensuring client files are accurate, properly formatted and fully up to date
- Checking that anti-money laundering and compliance requirements have been satisfied
- Ensuring appropriate agreements, reports and supporting documentation are held before new business is submitted
- Providing wider administrative support to the office when required
About you
To be considered, you should have:
- At least three years’ experience in a similar financial services administration role
- Previous experience working within financial planning, wealth management or an IFA practice
- Experience processing new business across investments and pensions
- A good understanding of financial services compliance and anti-money laundering procedures
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate client records
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence communicating with providers, colleagues and clients
- Experience using a financial services back-office system, ideally Intelligent Office
- Intermediate-level Word and Excel skills
