Paraplanner / Compliance Support - Manchester - Salary negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
Our client, a professional firm of IFA's who specialise in providing Investment and Pension advice to private clients, are currently seeking a Paraplanner to join them on a full time, permanent basis. As a small business, this company are able to offer a varied role incorporating Paraplanning, Administration and Compliance duties, so a candidate coming from a similar background would be ideal.
The business are expecting candidates to be experienced within the financial planning environment and they must have some Paraplanning/ Report writing experience. You should also be studying towards Diploma, having passed at least 2 of the RO papers. Candidates with some compliance related experience will be preferred but this is not essential.
As this is a small office, the successful candidate must be prepared to be flexible and help out in different areas, whilst also managing their own workload. In return they will have the opportunity to gain wider experience, including direct exposure to fund managers and product specialists, than they would have in a larger company.
It is envisaged that this paraplanner will develop close relationships with some of the client bank, potentially progressing into an adviser role, subject to qualifications, in around five years' time. Alternatively, there would be the opportunity to develop into a Compliance management role.
The firm supports study towards the CII Diploma and, ultimately, Chartered status by funding study material and exams, and providing study leave.
