Our client, a highly regarded financial planning business based in Brighton, is recruiting for an experienced Senior Independent Financial Adviser to join the team. The role will be to look after an existing, mature book of clients and grow the book with a mixture of repeat business and new clients.

The candidate should have experience in an IFA role and proven experience working with and developing a mature client book. Candidates should have vast experience advising clients with complex needs across a broad spectrum of advice, including complex retirement and inheritance tax planning. Experience advising personal and corporate clients essential.

Role Purpose

To provide clients with advice on financial matters, making recommendations on ways to best achieve their objectives. Within your role, you will research the marketplace and advise clients on the products and services available, ensuring they are aware of and understand those that best meet their needs. There will be an inherited client bank and also an expectation to either bring additional clients and build the existing client bank


  • Contacting clients and setting up meetings.
  • Conducting in-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims.
  • Analysing information and preparing plans best suited to individual and corporate clients' requirements.
  • Completing assessing and agreeing risk
  • Researching the marketplace and providing clients with information on new and existing products and services as appropriate.
  • Designing financial strategies with cashflow modelling.

  • Maintaining and updating individual continued professional development plans monthly, to be reviewed periodically by the Compliance Officer.
  • Maintaining compliance with the FCA rules and principles for Approved Persons and Code of Practice.
  • Meeting the regulatory aspects of the role, g. requirements for disclosure, costs of the services provided, and also the advised products.

On offer is a very competitive base salary of £50-75,000pa
