Purpose of the role:

A growing Operational Change Team is responsible for co-ordinating, monitoring and executing a clearly defined Change Programme that works in alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of the business. As required the team manages any emerging business requirements; either external (i.e. regulation) or internal (new business lines or enhancements to existing processes or systems)

Duties and responsibilities:

a Business Analyst to join the Operational Change team. The team is responsible for designing and delivering the Operational Change Programme that meets the strategic objectives of the Business whilst supporting the company's transformation into a delivery-focused organisation. Day to day, the team is responsible for analysing and documenting current business processes and systems, assessing proposed solutions and delivering live projects (supporting all documentation and business case analysis).

Working closely with Stakeholders across the business the BA will be responsible for;

  • Documenting 'As-is' processes i.e. dataflow diagrams, flowcharts
  • Plan, design and documenting 'To-be' processes i.e. dataflow diagrams, business process maps
  • Gather business requirements through a variety of techniques such as workshops and interviews
  • Create business cases and recommendations to improve and support business activities including the exploration of potential solutions
  • Analysing and documenting requirements as User Stories, producing business plans, project plans, key performance indicators and system impacts
  • Monitor / oversee / contribute to the testing of captured and agreed requirements
  • Analysing and configuring system changes
  • Ensuring the accuracy and rigour of all analysis, lifting the benchmark across the business

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience of project / programme implementation
  • Proven experience and understanding of the London Market business processes for either / both Underwriting and Claims
  • Evidenced ability to deliver results
  • Experience or understanding of LEAN / 6 Sigma / AGILE methodologies
  • Proven experience working with business processes re-engineering
  • Experience or understanding of system business analysis and implementation
