Head of Pensions
- The Head of Pensions will typically manage the largest complex client relationships, whilst engaging with and influencing boards and client directors whilst focusing on scheme growth
- The Head of Pensions will be expected take ownership for developing the client strategy and managing internal budgets
- Other job titles include; Pensions Director
Pensions Consultant
- A Pensions Consultant will be expected to establish and maintain good working relationships whilst effectively managing their client expectations and needs
- They often present at trustee meetings and advise clients of changing legislative and market trends. They often advise and consultant on a variety of pensions schemes/products including DC, DB, GPP’s, Auto-Enrolment, SIPP and SSAS
- Other job titles include; Pensions Advisor
Pensions Team Manager
- The Pensions Team Manager are often the key contact for a designated portfolio of clients, to which they will develop the relationship, attend meetings and develop a thorough understanding of the client’s needs
- Furthermore, they will take responsibility for the team’s performance managing workflow, identifying training requirements and ensuring that team members develop and successfully manage their own client portfolio
- Other job titles include; Pensions Administration Manager
Pensions Administrator
- A pensions administrator will administer a variety of pension schemes, which includes checking standard calculations which vary from scheme to scheme, passing them for review, acting as a main point of contact for their portfolio of clients/scheme members
- The pension schemes/products they administer include; DC, DB, GPP’s and Auto-Enrolment
- Other job titles include; Pensions Analyst, Pensions Associate, DC Administrator, DB Administrator, Final Salary Administrator and GPP Administrator
SSAS Administrator
- SSAS Administrators will provide technical pension support to their portfolio of clients specifically in respect of matters relating to property and employer-related investments
- They will be expected to liaise directly with clients, answering detailed technical queries, whilst attending client meetings and preparing trustee attendance notes
- Other job titles include; Property Administrator, Investment Pension Administrator
SIPP Administrator
- A SIPP Administrator will manage various, if not every aspect of their SIPP scheme portfolio. They will be expected to build a rapport with their assigned clients and often represent the company within client meetings with a consultant
- Furthermore, they will administer and process various schemes including property purchases and investment monitoring
- Other job titles include; Investment Pension Administrator
Pensions Graduate
- A graduate entering pensions will typically start within a Junior Pensions Administrator position. They will usually work alongside other Administrators compiling and sending out information packs. Once they have a greater understanding of the pensions remit, they will begin taking on more senior administration duties and liaising with clients
- To be considered for a Pensions Graduate position a 2:1 or 1st class degree is typically required
